The younger gen who see these outlets as ubiquitous and fun will tire of them even sooner when they find another, more interesting way to communicate. Web fads are like floaters the little blurry dots that block or blur your perception of what really in front of you for a few seconds, then slowly fade from focus and the world takes over again.Twitterbook will evolve and blob into something else, and no one will even remember why they ever had a myspace login. This appears to me to be more of a contrarian attention-Seeking article / book than a serious analysis. Ok, so certain peoople get pissed off with facebook and want to do an moi la déluge number i flounce out, fb will fall apart. My guess is that twitter will gravitate towards news aggregation because that is something it can easily do it is primarily a pr machine after all.Facebook will concentrate on building deeper and wider personal and business relationships. Facebook in the uk has replaced alcohol and tobacco as the people addiction of choice.Sure, some days we all think we spend too much time on fb, but equally we also find new uses for it. Fb will continually reinvent itself.The only real risk is that its credit lines get snapped in some future mega-Recession where funding fb seems superfluous to physical survival. I am not an fb fanatic.It is not my religion.It has its place, and that place is not built around some mythical social media get-Rich-Quick scheme(Which is the risk twitter runs).I get in touch with old friends.I make new personal friends.As a business we make a lot of business friends, mixing business and pleasure.That is quite a formula.I would be amazed if it collapsed anytime soon. I tendf to agree.That whilst technically fb is still exploding, users who have been on it for a while seem to be getting bored with it.The first change came when facebook changed the way it worked.Therefore i, and many others, lost interest in it.Sure we all still post updates on it ut not quite so prilifically.Also once you have caught up with your old school friends and colleagues and had an initial catchup, that it its over.Companies arte all now attracted to facebook all trying to setup online profiles, but in reality all they are trying to do is use it to capture leads.I know, because i do it.However, the qaulity of leads is not great as it is difficult to attract the right person if you sell to a niche market.Anyway, fb users have cottened on to this and utlimately i belive facebook will be doomed pretty much the same way that friends reunited, remember them, has become. I liked the article and shared it on facebook too.Surprisingly, as much as i hate to agree with my wife, she stated the same ideals shortly after joining facebook.I think that articles like this are starting to put the light on and people are realizing how dumb it really is.That, in combination with the constant changes for the worst at facebook,(Like moving the live feed activity stream from the lower right to the very top middle in order to make room for ads), will ultimately spell Facebook demise in terms of actual people who like it Maybe not ruin it, but it will probabaly be just another MySpace pretty soon A virtual ghost town where the only live guests are marketers and bots collecting information.
